Listen to the voices,
They're offering me choices.
(Should I live or die?
Do I speak or lie?)
Twisting through my head,
These thoughts that should be dead.
(Am I even real?
Are these things I feel?)
I can't take much more,
It's tearing at my core.
(Do I freeze or burn?
Will I ever learn?)
It's a smile that I'm wearing
As my sanity is tearing

Another crazy random thing that got stuck in my head. It basically serves as a prompt/lead-in to my next two deviations "Breakdown" and "Desperate", which focus on two different "directions" taken by the person described in this poem; someone who's mind is fragile and at the breaking point.

Two things you guys should know about this: this was originally being written to be a song, but I cut it short and branched it instead. The reason for the break in pace in the last 4 lines is to accentuate the loss of control by the person described (not sure if I pulled it off).
The second thing is that the poems are based off things that I've felt/experienced but aren't necessarily about me right now. So no calling the cops. ;P
